Lamictal DC (Lamotrigine) 5mg
Lamictal DC (Lamotrigine) is an anticonvulsant used to reduce the frequency and severity of seizures.
What is Lamictal DC (Lamotrigine) Used for?
The use of Lamictal DC (Lamotrigine) 5 mg is often part of an overall treatment plan for those that are experiencing partial seizures or seizures that don’t occur very often at all. This medicine can be used by those 16 years of age and older. It is often used in conjunction with other forms of medicine rather than as a stand-alone option. This medicine won’t cure seizures so if it is stopped then the symptoms can get worse/return.
Lamictal DC (Lamotrigine) Dosage & Administration
This is the lowest dose of Lamictal offered, and it is a good starting point. The dose may need to be increased over time to find the threshold of maximum benefits with the lowest amount of side effects. The dose shouldn’t be increased for at least 2 weeks after it is started. The dose should never exceed 200 mg per day. Take this oral medicine daily as your doctor as has prescribed. Don’t take more or less of it and don’t skip doses, even when you are feeling better than before. For the best results, try to take this medicine at the same time every day.
Lamictal DC (Lamotrigine) Side Effects & Precautions
Not everyone can safely use Lamictal DC (Lamotrigine). Anyone with heart problems, diabetes, liver disease, or kidney disease may not be a good candidate.
