What is Arrow-Roxithromycin?
Arrow-Roxithromycin containing the active ingredient roxithromycin belongs to the macrolide family of antibiotics. The medication works by killing and stopping the growth of the bacteria that is causing the infection. The tablets can be used to treat conditions such as acute pharyngitis, bronchitis, tonsillitis, sinusitis, pneumonia, impetigo and skin and soft tissue infections. The antibiotics can be used to treat bacterial infections but does not work against viral infections such as the flu or common cold.
How is Arrow-Roxithromycin used?
Arrow-Roxithromycin is usually taken 1 to 2 times per day or as directed by a doctor. The tablets can be taken with or without food but should be taken with plenty of fluids throughout the treatment. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the condition being treated and their response to the therapy. Do not stop taking the medication, even if you feel better after a few days, as abruptly stopping the medication may cause the infection to return and allow the bacteria to become immune to the antibiotics.
