What is Atorlip-20?
Atorlip-20 containing the active ingredient atorvastatin calcium is considered a statins or HMG CoA reductase inhibitor type of medication. The tablets when used along with an exercise program and a proper diet can help lower “bad” cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides while also raising “good” cholesterol (HDL) in the blood. It can also decrease the amount of cholesterol that may be built up on the walls of the arteries. Lowering cholesterol levels in the body can help decrease the risk of heart attacks, strokes or other heart complications.
How is Atorlip-20 used?
Atorlip-20 should be taken as directed by a doctor, usually once per day orally. The tablets can be taken with or without food but should be taken with a glass of water. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage as it will depend on the condition of the patient and their reaction to the medication. Avoid consuming grapefruit juice or grapefruits while taking the medication as it may alter the amount of the drug in the bloodstream.
