Caverject
*0.3mm x 13mm injecting needle included*
Why is Caverject Used?
Caverject contains alprostadil and is often prescribed for men who are suffering from erectile dysfunction. This is the inability to get or to maintain an erection. Sometimes this type of medication is given to new infants who have heart problems but that is only in very rare instances. Caverject works by calming the nerves and increasing the amount of blood flow to the penis.
Caverject Dosage and Usage Instructions
Caverject is a form of medication that is injected into the side of the penis with a small, thin needle. It is very important for a male to fully understand how to inject this medication and the exact location of the penis for it to be entered into. You should be shown at the doctor’s office. Always use a clean, sterile needle for each injection of this medication.
The dose of Caverject that will be used is going to vary by individual. Typically a doctor will start a male with a very low dose and then increase it if necessary until the right level is found. Never take more of this medication than your doctor has prescribed. Make sure your doctor feels you are healthy enough for sexual activity.
The injection should only be used when a male wants to obtain an erection. Typically the results will occur within 20 minutes. The erection will last for up to 60 minutes. For any erection lasting longer than 4 hours you should seek medical attention to avoid permanent damage to the penis.
