Metronidazole 200mg
Infections of the reproduction system that are caused by bacteria require an antibiotic to destroy it. One of those medications is known as Metronidazole (Trichozole). This medicine can also be used to treat bacteria that is associated with the skin and with the gastrointestinal tract. This is an oral medication that you will have to take for a period of 5 to 10 days.
Most people will feel better after a day or two of using this medicine. However, it is crucial to continue with it for the duration of the time frame your doctor has specified for you. If you don’t continue the medication like you should, the bacteria won’t be completely killed in the body. This can result in the problems reoccurring and then you will need to start the antibiotics all over again.
Never take more Metronidazole than the doctor has prescribed for you. Don’t skip doses or it won’t be as effective as it should be. Tell your doctor if you take any other medications as they may not interact well with this particular product. Individuals that use any type of blood thinner may not be able to take it. Those with liver or kidney problems also aren’t a good candidate.
It isn’t recommended to consume any types of alcohol while using Metronidazole. Doing so can result in vomiting, cramping in the stomach, sweating, flushing, and severe headaches. Many individuals experience sensitivity to UV rays while using this medicine so you will need to take additional care to avoid such exposure. This includes a couple of weeks after you are done using this particular antibiotic.
There can be some side effects associated with the use of this medicine. Most of the time they are very mild. Such side effects can include loss of appetite, upset stomach, a strange taste in the mouth, dark brown coloring to the urine, and dry mouth. If you experience a rash, excessive itching, or pain in the joints you should let your doctor know about it as soon as you can.
