Reactin 50 (Diclofenac or Diclofenac Sodium 50mg) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID). It is used to treat symptoms of arthritis such as joint aches and pains, stiff joints and swelling of the joints. It is also used to reduce pain and inflammation in other painful conditions.
Reactin (Diclofenac Sodium) Dosage
Reactin 50 is sold as a blister strip of 10 x 50mg tablets. Reactin SR 100mg Tablets are also available.
Your doctor will tell you how may tablets you require for your ondition and when to take the tablets.
Reactin (Diclofenac Sodium) Side Effects
Reactin can cause some mild and temporary side effects. These include:- nausea / vomiting
- heartburn / indigestion
- cramps
- loss of appetite
- constipation, diarrhea, stomach pain, wind
- dizziness / unsteadiness / lightheadedness
- drowsiness
- confusion
- buzzing or ringing in the ears
- depression
- irritability / aggression
- tremor
- sleeplessness / nightmares
- headaches
- sore mouth or tongue
- hair loss
- altered taste sensation
Reactine can also cause more serious side effects in some people. If you notice any of the following while taking Reactin, you should contact your doctor immediately.
- severe pain or tenderness in the stomach
- signs of frequent or worrying infections such as fever, severe chills, sore throat or mouth ulcers
- bleeding or bruising more easily than normal; reddish or purplish blotches under the skin
- signs of anaemia such as tiredness, being short of breath, looking pale
- a change in the colour of urine passed, blood in the urine
- a change in the amount or frequency of urine passed, burning feeling when passing urine
- signs of a liver problem such as tiredness, lack of energy, itching of the skin, yellowing of the skin and eyes, pain in the abdomen
- unusual weight gain, swelling of ankles or legs
- symptoms of sunburn (such as redness, itching, swelling, blistering) which may occur more quickly than normal
- eye problems such as blurred or double vision
- severe dizziness, spinning sensation
- severe or persistent headache
- tingling or numbness of the hands or feet
- fast or irregular heart beat, also called palpitations
- difficulty hearing
Reactin (Diclofenac Sodium) Warnings and Precautions
Before taking Reactin, tell you doctor of all meicines you are taking to make sure there are no possible drug interactions
Diclofenac is not recommended in pregnant or breat-feeding women.
Tell you doctor if you have any infections before taking Reactin.
Do not take any other treatments for arthritis (aspirin, other NSAIDs, other salicylates) at the same time as Reactin (Diclofenac Sodium).
